Other Studio Architects have worked to remodel and extend a Victorian Semi-Detached house in Frodsham, Cheshire.
The proposal looks to open up and extend the ground floor plan on the footprint of the existing outhouse, yet offer flexibility through the introduction of sliding walls and reconfigurable space. The addition of an attic storey and landing workspace accessed via a contemporary stair offers further usable space for modern day life.
At the core of this project is the introduction of as much light as possible to both the ground floor and first floor, this was achieved through glazing and the careful placement of rooflights within the design.
